WELFARE DEPARTMENT

  • To streamline the operation of the department through a liaison with house fellowship and departments of the church;
  • To create a sense of responsibility, independence and self-sustenance among members of the church;
  • To embark on regular job creation initiative for the general well being of members of the church:
  • To facilitate regular teachings on prosperity as God’s design for His people;
  • To facilitate the development of church policy on welfare and needs assistance to members and ensure its implementation thereof;
  • To reach out to the needy and church ministers during special seasons where necessary;
  • And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department


VISITATION AND FOLLOW-UP

  • To ensure regular follow-up and tracking of all first timers and new converts to become members of the church;
  • To keep proper and adequate records about all first timers and new converts of the church:
  • To design appropriate program of workers involvement in visitation and follow-up;
  • To ensure that first timers and new converts become students of Believers class for effective disciplining and members of appropriate house fellowship;
  • To maintain regular contacts with non- resident first timers and new converts to church;
  • To design appropriate mechanism of funding support for activities of the department
  • To liaise with the Abuja Special Holy Ghost Service Planning Committee and any other, to receive and effectively follow-up new converts towards making them members of the church and subsequent handover to Believers class
  • And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department


BELIEVERS CLASS DEPARTMENT

  • To ensure disciplining of all new converts and first timers to become members of the church;
  • To prepare new converts and first timers to become members of the church and in that wise acquaint such persons with the basic doctrines of the Bible and the Mission;
  • To ensure regular preparation of new converts for water baptism;
  • To keep proper records of all baptised members of the church; And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


EVANGELISM DEPARTMENT

  • To galvanise and mobilise the church in the fulfilment of the Great Commission;
  • To liaise with and facilitate all departments and units of the church towards making evangelism a way of life;
  • To make and keep adequate records of all new converts won during evangelical outreaches;
  • To grow the church through the creation of regular evangelical programs and platforms;
  • To mobilise house fellowship centres for effective regular neighbourhood evangelism;
  • To ensure quarterly presentation of all new converts for a special new converts dinner, including those being disciple;
  • To undertake initial follow-up of converts won through activities of the department and ensure subsequent proper handover of such to the visitation and follow-up department;
  • And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


HOUSE FELLOWSHIP

  • To multiply the House Fellowship Centres to at least, a minimum of three (3) each by the end of the year;
  • To engage in neighbourhood evangelism;
  • To ensure that a House Fellowship centre give birth to at least a House Fellowship Centre every quarter of the year;
  • To mobilise and ensure that every Parishioner become a member of a House Fellowship Centre;
  • To ensure participation of House Fellowship leaders and Assistants, and their coordinators in House Fellowship preparatory meetings as may be necessary from time to time;
  • To facilitate and address welfare needs of members of House Fellowship centres, where practicable;
  • To strengthens every House Fellowship to become a church within a church;
  • To keep proper records of members, their attendance and offerings, and make appropriate disbursement;
  • To encourage regular love feast in all house fellowship centres;
  • To facilitate creation of house fellowship clusters with ministers made cluster house fellowship coordinators;
  • And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


PRAYER BAND DEPARTMENT

  • To ensure careful recruitment, in liaison with Workers Service Unit of willing, able and holiness- conscious members into the department and ensure their sustenance in the prayer ministry;
  • To ensure that as a department, its members are involved in regular prayer and intercession for the activities and growth of the church;
  • To ensure that the department holds regular vigil at least twice in a month, in addition to the regular weekly prayer meetings of the department;
  • To make the church a praying church, by ensuring the following:

a)    Mobilise the entire church for a monthly vigil;

b)   To ensure other regular praying programs for the church;

c)    Facilitate and ensure that each department of the church makes prayer and fasting an integral part of its operation;

d)   To embark on regular and specialised training's on prayers for the department and other departments of the church;

  • And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


USHERING DEPARTMENT

  • To cheerfully receive worshippers to all church programs
  • To collect, count, document, and appropriately handover collected funds to the church treasurer for onward transmission to the bank;
  • To show smartness and friendliness to all worshippers during and after services, and to regularly engage in self-improvement programs;
  • To render due assistance to worshippers during and after services;
  • To be spiritually and physically alert and prayerful during services;
  • To ensure orderly sitting of worshippers during services;
  • To comply with the Mission’s dressing code as a model to all other church workers:
  • To ensure and maintain security within the church;
  • To hold regular monthly prayer and fasting for the department and the well being of the church;
  • To hold collective departmental Bible studies for spiritual enhancement of members at least once in a month;
  • And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


CHOIR DEPARTMENT

  • To ensure the implementation of sound quarterly thanksgiving programs for the church
  • To lead and mobilise worshippers in praise and worship and other spiritual songs;
  • To hold regular monthly prayer and fasting program for the spiritual preparation of the department
  • To hold collective departmental Bible studies for spiritual enhancement of members at least once a month;
  • To hold regular training programs, rehearsals and other ministry enhancement programs;
  • To hold regular monthly vigils for the department for spiritual strength and ministry fulfilment;
  • To organise from time to time and implement praise concerts, African praise and other praise programs for the church;
  • To add uniforms to the choir’s collections at least twice a year;
  • To increase membership of the department without compromising standards;
  • Generally to ensure quality praise and worship during all services;
  • To ensure adequate generation of funding for the activities of the department through the production and commercialisation of a music album(s);
  • To ensure that from time to time the instrumentalist conduct musical and instrumental training for interested members of the choir and church;
  • And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


DRAMA DEPARTMENT

  • Shall ensure regular presentation of drama and play-lets in the church as follows:

a)    Full drama: Once in a quarter in an evening service for that purpose;

b)   Play-lets: Once every month a play let of not more than 15 mins during Sunday worship services;

  • To serve as the drama outreach organ of the church especially during crusades, Lets go A- Fishing, etc;
  • To hold regular monthly prayer and fasting for the enhancement of revelation and sound performance of the department;
  • To ensure compliance of members life style with the scriptures;
  • To liaise with other drama ministries to ensure quality and improved standard of presentation, the product of which may be commercialised;
  • And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


JUNIOR CHURCH (CHILDREN & TEENAGE)

The junior church shall be made up of the children’s church and teenage church.

A) CHILDREN CHURCH

  • Teachers shall ensure that children are taught to grow up in the fear of the Lord through programs that will facilitate this;
  • To liaise and collaborate with other children related ministries for the purpose of training and retraining teachers to understand the dynamics of child growth;
  • To make every church service interesting for the children and avoid bullying them;
  • To facilitate conducive service atmosphere for the children;
  • To encourage and mobilise interested members to become teachers;
  • To facilitate competition in quizzes, Bible recitations, etc;
  • To ensure that teachers meet regularly for prayer and fasting and Bible study;
  • And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


B) TEENAGE CHURCH

  • To make all teenagers members of the teenage church;
  • To organise and run programs that addresses the peculiarities of the teenagers within the ambit of the scriptures;
  • To liaise and collaborate with other teenage related ministries for the purpose of training and retraining teachers to understand the dynamics of teenagers;
  • To prepare teenagers to take responsibilities within the church;
  • To raise exemplary teenagers that would be the pride of the church and the Nation;
  • To make the teenage church lively, interesting and godly;
  • To run the teenage church as a semi-autonomous church and to have semblance of the main church in department structure;
  • To ensure that teachers meet regularly for prayer and fasting and Bible study;
  • And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


SUNDAY SCHOOL DEPARTMENT

  • As the teaching arm of the church, shall conduct regular Sunday School teachings;
  • Shall introduce innovations from time to time that would attract greater participation of members in Sunday School;
  • Encourage every worshipper to become a Sunday School students;
  • To ensure quality of teachers and teachings;
  • Embark upon competitions (internal & external) as a source of motivation and improvement of the department and the church;
  • To hold regular preparatory studies of teachers;
  • To raise and mentor teachers;
  • To intermittently introduce Sunday School summary during worship service for members’ benefit and to arouse their interest in Sunday School;
  • And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary’ by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


DECORATION UNIT

  • To ensure proper decoration of the church auditorium in relation to events, seasons and other special programs;
  • To enhance the atheistic environment of the church through the use of flowers, decorative pots, etc.
  • To hold regular monthly prayer and fasting for the department;
  • To meet for departmental Bible studies at least once in a month,
  • And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT

  • To manage all equipment and appliances of the church;
  • To carry out all electrical maintenance within the church;
  • To advise on general maintenance;
  • To ensure that all appliances are functional before the commencement of all church services;
  • Record and tape all messages particularly that of the Zonal Pastor, Area Pastor, Parish Pastor, and invited guests and any other as be directed;
  • To advertise and sell such recorded messages as a means of raising funds for the department and enhance spiritual support for members;
  • To keep proper records and inventory of such taped messages;
  • To train and retrain members on current technical know how;
  • To hold regular monthly prayer and fasting, and departmental Bible studies;
  • And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


REDEEMED VOLUNTEERS

  • To ensure coordination of vehicle parking within the church premises during all services;
  • Regulate the movement of children between the Junior church and Main church and their safety thereof;
  • To ensure the security of lives and properties during and after church services;
  • To maintain security surveillance over church funds collection, etc;
  • To hold regular prayer and fasting and Bible study meetings;
  • And any other activities and programs as may be deemed necessary by the department for greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


WORKERS SERVICE UNIT

  • To coordinate the activities of all departments and units of the church in relation to the mandate of the departments and units;
  • To hold regular monthly meeting with heads of department and their Assistants with a view to assessing performance for appropriate recommendation to the Pastor;
  • To hold regular monthly prayer and fasting meetings with all workers;
  • To hold quarterly workers assembly
  • To conduct training needs assessment and to facilitate, organise, implement and supervise capacity building programs for all departments and units of the church;
  • To regularly facilitate workers inter-departmental posting;
  • To train and retrain workers of all department and units of the church, in addition to the Mission’s traditional workers in training program.
  • To hold Bi-annual workers retreat with a view of evaluating performance and re-sharpening focus of church workforce or departments.


SANITATION DEPARTMENT

  • To ensure the physical and spiritual cleanliness of the church auditorium for every service;
  • To ensure that the toilets are in good conditions before, during and after service
  • To ensure that the entire church environment is clean always
  • To mobilise the entire church for occasional general cleaning of the church.
  • To meet for departmental Bible studies and prayer at least once in a month.
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


RECEPTION DEPARTMENT

  • To handle refreshments of First Timers.
  • To handle refreshments during any special church programmes or outreaches.
  • To meet for departmental Bible studies and prayer at least once in a month.
  • To submit a monthly written report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


PROTOCOL DEPARTMENT

  • Organise the reception of guests at all services.
  • Check with the pastor for his schedule and appoint protocol officers to him for his outings.
  • Arrange & facilitate appointment of VIPs and other Pastors with the Pastor.
  • Any guest minister to the church must be assigned a protocol officer according to the gender of such minister.
  • In case such minister comes with materials he/she wants to sell, such must be duly handed over to the protocol department and not just sold without their consent.
  • No flier or materials is brought from outside the church for sale or free distribution without it passing through the protocol department. THE DEPARTMENT HOWEVER MUST SEEK CLEARANCE FROM THE PASTOR before such is allowed.
  • The protocol department also arranges for the accommodation, feeding & transportation of guest ministers
  • Whenever the pastor is to travel, the protocol department liaises with his destination to arrange for his accommodation and transportation before time, except when the pastor feels it’s not necessary.
  • Whenever the church has any function, protocol department takes charge of venue preparation, working with the Ushers, Technical, Beautification and Security departments which include the altar decoration and arrangement, video/photo coverage etc.
  • Movement of Invited Ministers to and from the altar is also the job of the protocol team.
  • To meet for departmental Bible studies and prayer at least once in a month.
  • To submit a monthly report to the Pastor on the activities of the department.


THE GOOD WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP

  • Focuses on increasing the spiritual strengths of women and helping them to develop their role as the backbone in their homes.
  • To meet from time to time for prayer and sometimes gather to spend time together in fellowship, relaxation and enjoy each other’s company.
  • To provide environments of fellowship, prayer, bible study and the opportunity to grow together spiritually.
  • To provide avenue for women to grow spiritually and use their gifts and resources for service in the church, the community and worldwide missions.
  • To develop women of integrity who are confident and complete physically, emotionally, and socially.


REDEEMER’S MEN FELLOWSHIP

  • For men to be personally acquainted with one another.
  • For men to be Christian influences in our homes, church and communities.
  • To provide a forum to discuss issued facing Christian men
  • To support each other in prayer and deed
  • To become better disciples of Jesus Christ


THE YOUTH FELLOWSHIP

  • To be involved actively in church programs and activities for spiritual edification
  • To demonstrate moral, spiritual as well as overall faith development and act as mentors to adolescents
  • To constantly fellowship together to educate all members about the issues facing our society.
  • To reach out to the community in evangelism and other corporate social works thereby demonstrating the love of Christ
  • To take good opportunities as they come; embrace inspiration; and, most importantly, trust and listen to God daily.
  • Organise programs, seminars etc aimed at fostering spiritual growth
